4. Officers
- The Officers of the Club, shall be:
- President
- Vice-President
- Assistant Vice-President
- Treasurer
- Systems Administrator
- The duties of the President shall be:
- to oversee the general operation of the Club;
- to call and preside at all general and executive meetings of the Club, except during the election of Officers;
- to appoint special committees of the Club and the membership and chairs of such committees, with the approval of the Executive;
- to audit, or to appoint a representative to audit, the financial records of the club at the end of each academic term;
- to act as a general and primary liaison for the CSC with MathSoc and other organizations; and
- with the approval of the Faculty Advisor, rule on any point of procedure under the constitution that arises outside of a meeting.
- The duties of the Vice-President shall be:
- to chair the Programme Committee;
- to appoint members to and remove members from the Programme Committee;
- to ensure that Club events are held regularly;
- to assume the duties of the President in the event of the President's absence; and
- to assume those duties of the President that are delegated to them.
- The duties of the Assistant Vice-President shall be:
- to take care of all correspondence of the Club and respond to general inquires;
- to keep minutes of all general and executive meetings of the Club; and
- to assume those duties of the President and the Vice-President that are delegated to them.
- The duties of the Treasurer shall be:
- to keep financial records of the Club, and audit them with the President;
- to prepare budgets and financial statements for the Club;
- to sign off cheque requests for reimbursement of expenditures of the Club;
- to collect and track any revenue of the Club and maintain corresponding records; and
- to act as a liaison for the CSC with MathSoc, MEF, SLEF, and other funding sources of the Club.
- The duties of the Systems Administrator shall be:
- to chair the Systems Committee;
- to appoint members to and remove members from the Systems Committee;
- to ensure that the duties of the Systems Committee are performed properly;
- to appoint the chairs of the Terminal Committee and the Web Committee; and
- to act as a liaison for the CSC with equipment vendors, CSCF, IST, and other similar organizations.
