I'm in the process of attaining my instructor certification in the art of Wing Chun Do under James W. DeMile.
Bruce Lee is my grandteacher (James DeMile, my teacher, was one of Bruce's first few students). Bruce trained in Wing Chun Kung Fu. James trained with Bruce during the years that Bruce was in Seattle. The "Seattle years" was when Bruce gained most of his maturity, in terms of his martial arts abilities.
Bruce studied Wing Chun under Grandmaster Yip Man. Yip Man's lineage can be traced back to Ng Mui, who was a female monk who helped create the art.
Some of my notes:
I'm very excited to have
appeared in the latest edition of James DeMile's book, Bruce Lee's 1 and 3-Inch Power Punch, which is
a world-wide bestseller (translated into numerous languages). In this
text, James, renowned world-wide for his mastery of the Floating Punch,
illustrates one of Bruce's most dynamic techniques. From a mere 1 or so
inch, immense power can be generated, that one single punch can easily
immobilize an opponent.
Some of my other hobbies.
