Stigma Track 5
This song has always fascinated me. Unlike most Yousei Teikoku tracks (which have a coherent story, though the lyrical density and complexity make this a bit hard to decipher at times), the lyrics seem very fragmented and disjointed, without any clear meaning. I was also curious as to who or what Sorima was, since there didn't seem to be any deity or figure with that specific name.
It turns out that 月下狂想 was actually the theme song of a radio drama called 【moon dropped（～月落～）】, which aired all the way back in 2002 (3 years before Stigma's release). Most of what survives of this drama on the wayback machine is via a tie-in site, which I haven't had the time to fully go through, but helps establish a context and background for the song nonetheless.
Of this particular interest is this page. It establishes some background for Sorima, a character in this drama, as well as the lyrics to Gekka Kyousou. The most interesting thing here is that you can hear Yui sing "Haha-naru seirei" near the end of the song, even though the lyrics booklet for Stigma use 母なる大地, which is pronounced "Haha-naru taichi" (meaning "Mother Earth"). Here, the lyrics confirm that it is indeed 母なる精霊, "Haha-naru seirei" or "Mother Spirit"
