This guide explains how to compile, test, and use the source code in the RTSP Proxy Kit, which is available from RealNetworks Web site.
The RTSP Proxy Kit contains source code for a reference implementation of an application-level RTSP proxy server for UNIX and Windows environments. The kit provides all of the basic functionality for an RTSP proxy.
This kit is intended for developers in the firewall industry to use as a basis for deploying an RTSP proxy in their firewall software. It is not intended for IT professionals to use as a stand-alone implementation in their network infrastructure.
As a reference implementation, the code in the kit should be adapted and modified for both the environment and the firewall software with which it is intended to work.
