About WatCHI:
"WatCHI" stands for "Waterloo Computer-Human Interaction Group." We are a student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (SIGCHI). WatCHI works to advance the field of HCI by promoting interaction between students, educators, and HCI professionals in the Kitchener-Waterloo region.

To that purpose, WatCHI will be inviting speakers on HCI-related topics, organizing tours of the local HCI companies and on-campus projects, and social events to provide networking opportunities to the local HCI community.

History:
Founded February 23 1999 by Henry Chen. Tom Carey provided faculty support.
