P.I.S.A.'s History

The club was founded in 1994 by Layla Protopapa and Patrizia Pillon. It has been strongly supported by Professors Vera Golini and Gabriele Niccoli of the Italian Department of St. Jerome's College at the University of Waterloo. The various executive members always managed to organize successful events.

The following are events which PISA has successfully organized in the past:

• Annual Winter Wonderland Dinner and Dance (Semi-formal).
• Eating hand-made gnocchi, with three sauces (1 red, 1 white, 1 green)!
• Italian movies at the Princess Theater
• Yes, a trip to Canada's Wonderland
• Bowling at Waterloo Town Square (with Mozzarela balls, just kidding).
• Visited CHIN Radio Studio in Toronto, and spoke with Johnny Lombardi (in Italian, of course!!)
• Many potlucks (with some greek food, too)!
• Skating nights
• Oktoberfest at the Kitchener Auditorium (Italian style).
