Glorious Discussions Concerning Interactive Entertainment: The Resistance

Control of the GDCIE has returned to me (Jonathan) and I will be running the remainder of the discussions for the term (four left). So if you preferred these discussions by other people, I suppose you’re out of luck (and hopefully you did enjoy them). The next discussion will be Tuesday July 3, 2012 at 6:00pm in MC2017. We will be discussing:

The Resistance, by Don Eskridge

We are now into the segment of the term where we’re going to talk about a bunch of games of the non-electronic variety. If that’s not your thing, then you can show up to the discussion anyways and voice your displeasure (or try out the game, find that you really like this sort of thing, and forget you were ever irked).

The Resistance is a table-top, party kind of game all about deception. So if you’re a terrible person and enjoy lying, you’ll do great. We’re going to be doing this thing where we play the game at the discussion while (or before) we talk about it, so fret not if you have no opportunity to play the game beforehand.

Also of note, and you’ll want to pay attention to this: two weeks from now we will be discussing Humans Versus Zombies, a live action game of sorts that is being run on campus next week by WatSFiC. This means that to play you’re going to have to sign up for the game this week. You can find the sign-up table in the MC on the third floor, just across the hall from the CnD.

Nothing left to say,
Jonathan Semple
