Sponsorship Information

In order to make this event work, we need sponsorship. Ultimate, as a general rule, is a non profit sport. The purpose of this tournament is not to make money, but rather to allow the top university teams to compete in high level ultimate. The funding received from sponsors will go directly to offset the costs of running this tournament, and will serve to reduce the costs transferred to the participating teams. Without sponsors, this tournament will cost the participating teams in excess of $250 each, using present estimates.

Sponsors for this event will be recognized in the brochures, which will be passed out to all the tournament attendees, as well as on posters/banners which will be displayed at the food/water centers. Captains packages (sent to the captain of each participating team) will include a list of sponsors as well as suggestions on where the teams can stay, a list of suggested restaurants, and other information pertinent to this tournament.

Corporate logos will also be displayed on posters which will be posted around the university campuses and possibly other locations. (We are looking into getting around twenty posters (11*14, full color) for the purposes of attracting spectators to the tournament). We are also looking into getting full sized wall posters for the event (to be sold during the tournament). If this proves to be feasible, then corporate logos could also be placed on these.

Donations are tax deductible. Receipts will be received by mail from CUPA (the Canadian Ultimate Players Association).
