Waterloo Teaching Program
Although it is not required for membership, the majority of TSA members are enrolled in the Co-operative Honours Mathematics Teaching Option program. This program is offered by the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. The Mathematics teaching plan combines academic studies in mathematics, teaching in secondary schools, professional training, and other work experience. With the exception of Accountancy Studies, Business Admin/Mathematics (Double Degree), and Software Engineering students, any Co-op Undergrad Math student may apply to this program during the 2A school semester. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Mathematics (or Bachelor of Computer Science) from University of Waterloo and most have the goal of attending a Faculty of Education afterwards.
