The objective of the TSA shall be to promote interaction amongst University of Waterloo Undergraduate Students interested in a career in teaching. Throughout the academic year, a collection of social, athletic, cultural, and academic activities shall be organized to foster positive networking between potential teaching candidates. Furthermore, the TSA will explore and encourage professional development activities with the goal of improving club members' teaching qualifications.

Waterloo-Queen's Mathematics/Teaching Program
Although it is not required for membership, the majority of TSA members are enrolled in the Co-operative Honours Mathematics Teaching Option program. This program is an integrated plan offered jointly by the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo and the Faculty of Education at Queen's University. With the exception of Accountancy Studies, Business Admin/Mathematics (Double Degree), and Software Engineering students, any Co-op Undergrad Math student may apply to this program during the 2A school semester. Graduates are qualified to teach Intermediate/Senior level students and receive a Bachelor of Mathematics (or Bachelor of Computer Science) from Unviersity of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Education from Queen's University.
