What's New!

Description

The Triathlon Club of the University of Waterloo exists to provide personal contacts, training opportunities and information to UofW people interested in triathlons. The club has meetings as needed to meet fellow tri-enthusiasts, arrange training times, and disseminate information. The Club has helped organize UofW's annual "Try-a-tri" the past two years.

Anyway, members, we want members, whether you're Scott Tinley or Rosanne want you to come out and discover what triathlons are all about (maybe you can even explain it to me?!?) We have a small ($5) membership fee to help fund this fairly new organization. This fee will be used to provide services such as supporting members' participation at races in and out of town, as well as activities for the group as a whole.

Any questions can be directed to Alan Chan for the time being, send E-mail to ADFCHAN@SCIBORG.UWATERLOO.CA. Also, see the newsgroup uw.clubs.triathlon for the latest talk.

Sponsorship was supplied by companies like Powerbar, Rip'n Hammer and our local businesses ie. Zehrs, Westons Bread, Runner's Choice, Cyclepath and our own Mutual Group Sponsor.

Congradulations to Mike Tripp, who picked up a free Rip'n Hammer Warmup suit and lots of attention, for finishing first at the Kingston Duathlon this past Saturday. Congrads also to Chris Basti for taking the top rookie award, and the Waterloo men's team for second place (behind Queen's).
